What is the Whistleblower Channel?

The Whistleblower Channel is a platform for receiving and processing reports submitted by employees or individuals outside the company. In all reports, the complainant may choose to remain anonymous or to identify themselves when filing the report.

The whistleblowing channel is managed internally for the purpose of receiving and following up on reports, ensuring the anonymity of whistleblowers and all those involved in the reported situation, as well as impartiality, confidentiality, and the absence of conflicts of interest in the handling of such reports. In appropriate cases, the complaint will be forwarded to a legal entity outside the company.

What should you keep in mind?
1. What can I report?

Under the terms of Law No. 93/2021 of December 20, a complaint may be filed when the matter concerns violations related to: Public procurement; Financial services, products, and markets; and the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing; Product safety and compliance; Transport safety; Environmental protection; Radiation protection and nuclear safety; Food safety for human and animal consumption, animal health, and animal welfare; Public health; Consumer protection; Privacy and personal data protection, and network and information system security; Competition and state aid; Corporate taxation; Violent crime, particularly violent and highly organized crime;”

2. How can I do that?

To ensure that reports submitted through the platform are processed more quickly, it is important that the details provided include, preferably, a detailed description of the incident (where, when, and how it occurred or is occurring; who the people involved are; and evidence such as documents, images, audio recordings, and/or photos that can help verify the incident). After submitting your complaint, you will receive a notification within 7 days confirming that it has been received and is currently under review. We may need more information to help us process your complaint or to provide an update on the matter. Please note that in some cases, our ability to provide information arising from the investigation may be limited.

3. Who receives my complaint?

The Score Group’s human resources department will handle the receipt and processing of reports, as well as communication with the reporter and others involved in the report, providing them with all necessary information and clarifications within a reasonable timeframe. The steps taken from the receipt of a complaint through to its resolution will be carried out diligently, ensuring the impartiality required in each case and guaranteeing the thoroughness, integrity, and preservation of the proceedings at every stage. In appropriate cases, the complaint will be forwarded to a legal entity outside the company.

4. Is my report anonymous?

We are committed to handling your report confidentially and anonymously, if you so choose. However, you should be aware that others who may be aware of the situation could be able to identify you.

5. Could I face retaliation for speaking up?

SCORE encourages you to report any situations or concerns that may be considered unethical or illegal. Under no circumstances will there be any retaliation against the whistleblower. Such conduct constitutes a serious violation of our code of ethics and conduct, and any retaliation by a SCORE professional, including intimidation, is subject to disciplinary action that may result in termination of employment.
